Are VIVIL products gluten-free?
Only our two products Eucalyptus Menthol Cough Drops and Creme Life Brasilitos Espresso contain the allergen gluten due to malt extract in the formula. All other products are gluten-free.
Are there any products that contain lactose?
Lactose is present in the following products: Cream Life Raspberry without sugar, Cream Life Strawberry without sugar, Cream Life Cherry without sugar, Cream Life Caramel without sugar, Cream Life Latte Macchiato without sugar, Cream Life Caramel Hazelitos without sugar, Cream Life Brasilitos Espresso without sugar, Cream Life Peppermint without sugar. These products contain the raw materials cream and butterfat.
Are VIVIL products soy-free?
Soy is present in all products/varieties of our Creme Life range: Creme Life Raspberry without sugar, Creme Life Strawberry without sugar, Creme Life Cherry without sugar, Creme Life Caramel without sugar, Creme Life Latte Macchiato without sugar, Creme Life Caramel Hazelitos without sugar, Creme Life Brasilitos Espresso without sugar, Creme Life Peppermint without sugar. These products contain the raw material soy lecithin as an emulsifier.
Is VIVIL "Green Roll - Natural Peppermint" sugar-free?
No. By tradition, VIVIL has the "Green Roll" in its assortment, it contains sugar and no sugar substitutes or sweeteners are used.
What kind of gelatin is used in the "Green Roll - Natural Peppermint"?
Pork gelatine is used. As an alternative, there is the "Blue Roll - Natural Peppermint without Sugar", which is without animal gelatin.
What is the basis of VIVIL sugar-free products and do the products contain sweeteners?
Most of our candies are sugar-free. They contain sugar substitutes such as isomalt, maltitol syrup or sorbitol as a base. From a chemical point of view, these sugar substitutes are sugar alcohols ("polyhydric alcohols"), as the sugar molecules have an "alcohol group". However, the "polyhydric alcohols" mentioned in the nutritional information are not "alcohol" (ethanol) in the true sense. When foodstuffs refer to polyhydric alcohols, they are referring to sugar substitutes such as our sugar alcohols isomalt and maltitol syrup or sorbitol. Our sugar-free candies are sweetened with sweeteners such as acesulfame K, sucralose or aspartame.
Do VIVIL candies contain nuts?
No. Our Creme Life Caramel Hazelitos does have the Caramel Hazelnut flavor profile, but the flavor comes from a flavor completely free of nut allergens.
Are VIVIL products GMO free?
No raw materials are processed and no products are marketed that consist of, contain, or are made from genetically modified organisms (GMOs).
What is the best way to store candies?
VIVIL candies should be stored in a cool, dry place.
Are sugar-free candies suitable for diabetics?
Our sugar-free products contain sweeteners that do not provide calories and therefore do not increase blood sugar levels even for diabetics, or the sweetness comes from sugar substitutes that contain much fewer calories than classic sugar and therefore only slightly increase blood sugar levels. Since the influence on the blood sugar level depends on various factors and the subject turns out to be very complex, we would like to recommend you to contact your doctor about this.
I have found an empty single candy wrapper (empty tube) in my bag. What should I do?
In exceptional cases, it may happen that a candy is missing from the packaging supply, resulting in an empty tube. These empty tubes are usually extracted by a compressed air system. However, it is not always 100% technically possible to remove all empty tubes. However, since we always control the weight of the package, even if an empty tube is included, the package must always reach the specified weight and is then refilled accordingly with the appropriate amount of candy.
